Gerrit Jacob

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

For his Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Gerrit Jacob didn’t present a traditional runway show, but instead invited guests to a screening accompanied by an installation. Upon entering the space, visitors were greeted by a sea of fake banknotes and four ominous-looking figures. Titled "Game Over", the collection film was displayed on three large screens and created in collaboration with Axonbody. It featured unrecognizable figures moving like animated characters in video games, reminiscent of those in the installation. All of them wore Gerrit Jacob’s signature oversized pieces, boldly printed with the faux banknote designs. The collection film made references to themes such as capitalism, consumerism, power, and greed – and explored the question: When is the game (of life) over?
